People Go On About With Their Business

My heart seems to be so weak when it comes to matters such as having the 'heart' to be concerned for others. At times I find myself being so indifferent to the misfortunes of my fellow men. But, don't misunderstand, there are times that I also feel being genuinely concerned.

Is it because I haven't fully grasped what it actually means to love my neighbor as myself? Is this a shameful case of being selfish and egocentrism?

If it is, then I ought to be ashamed of myself. For how can I love the Lord if I do not care about the people He loves?
