When You Feel Exhausted With Life
A reflection of some of the recent happenings in life that led me to write about it.

The picture on top is a puppy whom I rescued and named him Tyler. Why Tyler? Because he's got that fur-pattern that is somewhat similar to that of a tiger - and I'm too lazy to call on his could-be name and always say "Tiger".
Tyler is a victim of a certain human's lack of compassion, with a hardness of heart combined with a lack of conscience in viewing a dog's life to be lesser of his own. Tyler together with his two other siblings (Yoru & Krem-Krem) were thrown to a rear end of a culvert, which serves as a means for flooding waters from the mountains to make an exit of.
It was by pure chance, or by divine intervention that I saw them by the gaping mouth of that enormous culvert, shaking and making a very silent, barely audible cry.
I took the three of them home, caring for them, giving them milk and reuniting them with their mother.
Sadly, Krem-Krem didn't make it, she was hit by a motorcycle. In fact, Tyler and Yoru were also ran over by a motorcycle. Yoru was limping for days; but, keeping that lively spirit of his, he never wavered and instead, just kept on playing with his siblings.
In the stillness of the night, I heard of a puppy's sharp and pained cry, bursting through the fragile quiet of that dark, rainy evening. Tyler's cries echoed so loudly together with the rampaging sound of rain drops. My heart sank, I knew it was bad. I frantically searched for him in that wet and dark night. Then I found him lying by the side of the road - Tyler's forehead was bleeding, and I was preparing for the worst, he just might not make it. Blood was profusely oozing out. I tried comforting him and it might have been effective even for just a short while, for he stopped making the sound of an anguished whimpering.
Thanks be to God, Tyler was well the following morning.

But, why am I writing about them when the title is "When You Feel Exhausted With Life".
Well, mainly because there are a lot of factors that can be the reason why we get tired in and by life. But, the reason is almost always due to discouragement and frustration.
In my case, I wrote about these three lovely puppies is because, it was one of the rare cases that I got exhausted just thinking about the audacity of the person who threw these lovely puppies.
Outrageous!
Then I got discouraged, knowing that there are possibly millions of people out there who view the lives of these voiceless creatures to be so much lesser than their own. People who wouldn't think twice ending lives of animals just for the heck of it.

On top - Tyler & Yoru growing cute and strong.
I hope and pray that I'm making them happy and be excited with life because they're the reason I'm happy and excited.
Speaking of excitement, every time I arrive home, Tyler never fails to greet me, showing an excitement that is tantamount to as if I've been gone for a whole month, even though I only went to the market - he'd always run to the gate and wait for me to get off the truck. Yoru is the almost the same; but, there are times he's lazy.
EDIT: There are ninjas cutting onions as I am writing this.
