Yagizaki Park

As I look back and reminisce on the highlights of this year, which is strictly not something I do towards every end of the year, I realized that my trips to Japan this year were really quite memorable and the pictures I took in Yagizaki Park in Lake Kawaguchiko truly made an impact on me.

I don't know why; but, as I try to think more about it, it may most likely due to the serenity I felt when me and wife were there. We almost as if had the park all to ourselves, save from the fact there were lovers who made the spot as their dating place, and a cute dog and his furparent who made it their hangout place.

Going to Yagizaki Park was truly never part of our plan. My wife got too excited when she saw a place which she thought was the site where she wanted to go - and I had to break it to her, and to my utmost displeasure, that the place where got off to was the very place that we've been to a few months prior, that we had wandered in that very same place previously.

Got a little bit angry of that, to be honest. Then she said that we should go somewhere and I told her, that we need to walk and that's exactly what we did.

Looking at Google Maps on my phone, the places seem to be relatively quite near from each other; however, when you start walking and when you're not or no longer used to walking, you'll be surprised with an almost breathless lungs that these places, while truly beautiful, are actually quite far from each other.

Anyway, we arrived Yagizaki Park after I don't know how many steps; but, it was a really beautiful place. The place is huge and you guessed it, in order for you to explore the most parts of the place, you need to walk...AGAIN! But, I can assure you that it's all worth it - that is if you plan to walk. But, if you're ever planning to visit Japan, you will most likely be almost always walking.

When we went to Yagizaki park, it was during the winter season: the grass appeared white and it was cold, it was glorious.

Yagizaki Park in Lake Kawaguchiko, remember this place because it is a place that I will, for sure, will always remember.
